At present there are 33 schools covering all the states of the country. This school was founded by (late) Shri V.K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister of India, on 24th July, 1961.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The primary aim of the school is to prepare boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy. It enables boys\/Girls from economically weaker sections of the society to take up an illustrious officer career in the Armed Forces of the nation. Character building, dedication, patriotic outlook and esprit-de-corps are the qualities which are promoted by the Sainik Schools.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school prepares boys\/Girls for compulsory science stream for all India Secondary School and all India Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations. Sports and other co-curricular activities are given equal emphasis along with the academics in the school so as to develop an all round balanced personality of leadership by making NCC training compulsory for all the boys\/girls of the school. It helps the boys\/Girls to grow as well disciplined young men\/Women. Every Sainik School basically caters for the boys\/Girls of the home state but certain seats are available for outsider (other sate) also. There is a very liberal scheme of scholarship which is provided by the concerned State Govt.\/ Union Territory Administration on the basis of income slabs of boy&#8217;s parents. The school is a member of the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7c2af35 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7c2af35\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR IN AISSEE 2027<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c75470a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c75470a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><strong><u>For admission to Class VI: <\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2026 for admission to Class VI, i.e. he\/she should have been born between <strong>01 April 2015 and 31 March 2017<\/strong> (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2026-27.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong><u>For admission to Class IX: <\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2026, for amission to Class IX,<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0i.e. He\/ she should have been born between <strong>01 April 2012 and 31 March 2014<\/strong> (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2026-27.
